Your first ever holiday was in June the year you were born. Myself and nanny Nita took you to Kessingland Holiday Park for a week. Your dad was working but he came up for the weekend as it was fathers day. This holiday was your first time in a swimming pool and you loved being pushed around in the rubber ring thing. I believe we also went to see the animals at the small Zoo, but you were far too young to remember that.
A few years later we went to Devon (Devon Cliffs) the summer before you started school. We went with Judith, Keiran & Abigal, you me & nanny. We stayed in a lovely lodge style caravan on the cliffs and spent a few days in the pool, on the beach, and we went to the farm up the road to see the animals. You loved going out in the evening to see Rory the Tiger & Anxious .
Another Year or so later we went to Spain, with Nanny again, and the Welsh family. We stayed in the lovely villa owned by Phil's friend. We had day trips out, including a memorable trip to Mijas. This is a picturesque village in the hills. We left the Villa early and drove up the hillside. You were being a bit of a madam and were adamant you wanted cheese and onion crisps for breakfast. To save the earache and whining I gave in. Bad bad bad idea! As we got higher up the hillside your breakfast decided to make a re appearance! Not nice for the rest of us in the car, but typically within 10 minutes you were fine and wanting to ride a donkey!
Another memorable holiday was to Bulgaria. We stayed in a small hotel on the beach -literally and spent alternate days on beach or round the pool. Every day without fail you had your photo taken with one of the Characters- bugs bunny etc. We had to buy every single one! This was the holiday that Nanny moaned her bed was sagging- and you discovered after a few days that all the slats under the bed were actually laying on the floor and not on the bed at all! Poor Nanny! I will say you tried all the different food available on Holiday, and you still do now (Sardine Pate in Portugal was your last fad!). You never want Chips and Burgers and loved having pancakes for breakfast.
I hope we have a few more holidays together sweetie. We have Cornwall to look forward to in a few weeks, and hopefully go abroad again next year.
Love you loads
Mum xx
